21ST CENTURY CONTRACT WITH AMERICA Part 2: Day One Plan

Beginning on Day 1 of the Gingrich Administration, about the time that Barack Obama is leaving Andrews Air Force Base to go back to Chicago, Newt will sign a series of Executive Orders that will dismantle the big government apparatus that Obama has put in place and begin our journey on the path to the restoration of America.

Yet, these Executive Orders will not be solely a top down proposition.   Newt wants to collect the wisdom of the American people and is asking for your help in ideas for First Day Executive Orders and is asking for you to submit your ideas now by clicking below.

Help Shape the Contract With America by Submitting Your Idea Here

Executive Orders that have been released so far:

  1. Eliminate the 39 White House "Czar" Positions Created During the Current Administration: The president does not have the authority to appoint bureaucrats to power who are not accountable to the Congress.

  2. "Mexico City Policy" of Respect for Life: Reauthorize President Ronald Reagan’s policy – also known as the "Mexico City Policy"— to stop tax payer dollars from being used to fund or promote abortions in foreign countries.

  3. Restore Conscience Clause Protections for Healthcare Workers: No American working in a medical environment should be forced to perform any procedure that he or she finds morally or ethically objectionable based on religious teaching. This protection should include, but not be limited to abortion. Existing conscience clause protections need to be strengthened.

  4. Respect Each Sovereign Nation’s Choice of its Capital: Each sovereign nation, under international law and custom, may designate its own Capital. Accordingly, the U.S. State Department should be instructed to respect the choice of each sovereign nation and place the American embassy in their Capital. (Israel is the only country the United States discriminates against in this regard. The people of Israel have designated Jerusalem as their capital. Yet the United States retains its embassy in Tel Aviv.)

  5. End the Attorney General's Assault on the States: Instruct the Attorney General to withdraw all immigration-related lawsuits against states immediately, including those pending in Arizona and South Carolina. The Obama Administration refuses to enforce federal immigration laws, and instead sues states who are merely trying to enforce the laws that the federal government neglects. The Gingrich Administration will secure the border by Jan. 1, 2014 by any means necessary.

  6. The Keystone Pipeline: Unleash American Energy by Approving the Keystone XL Pipeline. Instruct the State Department to approve a Presidential Permit immediately for the Keystone XL pipeline, a project that will send 700,000 barrels of oil a day from Great Plains and Southwestern states to Gulf Coast refineries lower staggering energy prices, and create up to 120,000 American jobs.

Do you recognize this man? Are you sure?

This man is known for oratory skills. With the cadence and fervor of a Baptist preacher, the charm and folksiness of a country storyteller and the zeal and fury of a maniacal dictator.

He was charismatic, very charismatic. He had tremendous confidence, and an air of superiority.

He could quote scripture and turn around and preach socialism.

He appealed to anyone on any level at any time.

He also indoctrinated many young, idealistic liberal white people in progressive themes of socialism, equality and political activism. He would justify his brand of socialism with the Bible for those recruited from more conservative religious factions, who might have found such left-wing ideas tough to swallow.

He practiced the art of "divide and conquer.

He was respected community leader. He started programs to help the elderly and poor. His circle of friends once included leading politicians.

He cast himself as a politically progressive.

He was able to deliver what politicians want, which is power. And how do you get power? By votes. And how do you get votes? He could produce 3,000 people at a political event.

He was the guy that could produce a ready-made volunteer work force and he was very strong and here was a guy who could provide workers for causes.

He was friends with the city's Democratic power structure and social elites including the radical Angela Davis.

So who are these statements describing? Sounds to me like Obama. How about to you?

These are statements made by those who knew and associated with Jim Jones, the Cult Leader who lead 909 of his followers to commit suicide in 1978 in Jonestown, Guyana!. Obviously, these descriptions eerily describe Barack Hussein Obama. The man who is leading our country to National suicide!

Please "Don't Drink The Cool Aid" being served up by the DNC and the Lame Stream Media!

If we get the right people in congress, ObamaCare and the worst of the financial regulation bills can be repealled and signed on the first day as Newt wants to do.  Wavers do not get rid of all the bureaucratic regulations that are not even specified in those laws.  They need not pruning or wavers but total repeal.

I don't know who said it first, or even if I heard someone say it.  Perhaps it was my imagination!

Fifty of the 'First Day' signatures should be on wavers for each of the 50 states, to exempt them from ObamaCare.  If Berry can do it for unions and large contributors, I certainly think it should also be possible/reasonable, to do it for each of the 50 (or was that 57) states.

Newt , please  go on with your campaign!  Your ideas are right and true,  and will boost the

moral  of so many people who are suffering under the present world recession.  My simple

message to voters in America is : don't let Newt go!  He's really the best you've got, and  he

could become a great leader for America and a great diplomat to work together with Europe.

All ten items in the Contract With America were brought to a vote in the U.S. House in the first 100 days (the promise was to bring them to a vote). Nine of the ten items passed the House. The sole exception was term limits which received a plurality but required a two-thirds majority as a Constitutional Amendment.

  • Committee Chairmen were term-limited as was the Speakership
  • The Legislative branch was cut including the Speaker's office. Also reduced were committee sizes. Unnecessary perks like the House barbershop, shoeshine and ice service were eliminated.
  • The Congress was forced to live under the same laws as the rest of the land - OSHA, disabilities, workplace laws, members, staff etc.
  • A big six accounting firm audited the U.S. House's finances for the first time in history.
  • The Budget was balanced for the first time in a generation. When Time Magazine named Gingrich their Man of the Year in 1995, they said that because of Newt a balanced budget was no longer a question of if, but when.
  • Tax rates were cut for the first time in 17 years. Included were a lowering of the "Capital gains" href="http://conservapedia.com/Capital_gains">capital gains tax rate, a $500 per child tax credit and new tax credits for tuition to college and voc-tech schools. The cap gains tax actually ended being scored as a revenue increase, a shift in tax policy debate due to Gingrich's success.
  • Military spending increased for the first time in over 10 years including funding for a national missile defense.
  • The line-item veto passed and was signed into law.
  • Six of the bills were signed into law by the President. (In 1996, President Clinton pointed to 13 separate reforms that were contained within the Contract with America at the Democratic National Convention href="http://conservapedia.com/Newt_Gingrich#cite_note-2">[3]
  • More women were appointed to leadership positions in the House than anytime in history.
  • Increased funding for the Violence Against Women Act by 700%.
  • Megan's Law was passed. [4] [5] [6]
  • In response to the removal of former Democratic Speaker Jim Wright on ethical violations, Reps. David Bonior and Nancy Pelosi filed a list of alleged ethics charges against Gingrich in 1997. Gingrich reimbursed the committee $300,000 for investigative costs after failing to meet full disclosure requirements about a college class he was teaching at a community college in Georgia. A formal

On the horrible assumption that anyone but Newt gets the Rep nomination, his ideas must remain alive until the last of the 1144 votes have been counted. In fact he ought to be hired as the victor's debate coach (and then become the next Secretary of State), continuing to promote the most thoughtful, detailed, practical, and imaginative solution to all the problems  facing America today - the biggest, most threatening  of them being the continued Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama.

Newton "Newt" Gingrich (born Harrisburg, Pa., June 17, 1943) served as Speaker of the House from 1995 until 1999, preceding J. Dennis Hastert and succeeding Thomas Foley. He is widely considered the mastermind of the 1994 Republican Revolution and "Contract with America" that led the Republican Party to capture the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives for the first time since 1954. He was considered the chief Republican opposition to President Bill Clinton in the 1990's.

Popular with conservatives, Gingrich is a television commentator and the author of nineteen books including 11 fiction and non-fiction New York Times best-sellers.

Under his leadership, Congress passed welfare reform, passed the first balanced budget in a generation, and passed the first tax cut in sixteen years. In addition, the Congress restored funding to strengthen defense and intelligence capabilities, an action later lauded by the bipartisan 9/11 Commission.

Gingrich's congressional career ended in 1999 when he resigned from Congress after poor showings from Republicans in the midterm elections and due to being investigated by the House ethics panel. Claims were made that Gingrich had used a political consultant in the development of the GOP platform contrary to House Ethics Rules. Despite his claim of no wrongdoing, a $300,000 fine was imposed by the panel. The final three of the

I heard this one and i agree.  On Day One Every single political appointee by the Obama administration from the very first days, should be removed from any position they are in. To include the many that have migrated to less noticeable civil service or agency govt jobs any where they went like cancer spreading. That cancer needs to be removed in all its tiny parts from our Govt. Fire them all!

What do you Expect From Jimmie Carter ??? The 1973 oil crisis called attention to the need to consolidate energy policy. On August 4, 1977, President Jimmy Carter signed into law The Department of Energy Organization Act of 1977, which created the Department of Energy.[2] The new agency, which began operations on October 1, 1977, assumed the responsibilities of the Federal Energy Administration, the Energy Research and Development Administration, the Federal Power Commission, and programs of various other agencies.Check out there Budget - & Productivity - >>
