Wondering about the sudden departure of John Huntsman and the quick Endorsement of Mitt Romney by him - You need to look know further to find the answer. Back in 2001 when the Huntman Corporation needed 600 Million Dollars they look no further than Bain Capital.... Bain agreed to give John Huntman Sr. 600 Million Dollars and acquired a 30% share of Huntmans Corporation, the 3rd largest Chemical Plant in the United States. John Huntsman Jr. was an Executive at the Company at the time.A little more information for you ever wonder why John Huntsman Jr. was offered the Ambassadorship to China by the Obama Adminastration, well it turns out that Huntsman Corporation has Facilities, Plants or Factories according to a page on their own web site appropriately called Welcome to Huntsman's China according to Huntsman.com , The Huntsman Corporation has at least 22 sites in China.
In 1988 Bain Capital put down 5 Million Dollars to Buy Stage Stores, A Texas Retailer. In the Mid 90's they took it public collecting 100 Million Dollars from stock offerings. Not long afterward Bain Capital and Others were sued by Shareholder of Stage Stores charging Bain of helping manulate the stock. The Lawsuit accused the Company of giving false and misleading optimistic performance projections, which sent the retailers stock soaring past $50.00 per share, at which point Bain Capital unloaded virtually all of it's stock. When more realistic projections were released, Stage Stores stock plunged 58% in 1 day. Stage filed for banruptcy in 2000.
Bain Global with Mitt Romney as their Leader establish Trust in offshore accounts to attract people looking to avoid paying US Taxes.. In the Cayman Islands Romney was listed as a General Partner and personally invested in BCIP Associates III Cayman Funds thru a Trust. Campaign disclosure papers show the Investment paid him more than 1 Million Dollars last year in Dividends, Interest and Capital Gains..The Cayman fund is Registered to a P.O. Box in Grand Cayman Island Corporate records show.. It maintains no offices or staff. In Burmuda , Romney served as President and sole shareholder for 4 years of Sankaty High Yield Assets Investors LTD. It funneled money into Bain Capitals Sankaty family of Hedge Funds, which invested in Bonds and other Debts by Corporations as well as Bank Loans.. Sankaty maintained no offices or staff in Burmuda it's only presence consist of a name plate at a Lawyers office in downtown Hamilton. Mitt and his wife have Millions of Dollars in offshore funds which are typically set up to avoid Federal Income tax. Romney claims to have paid Taxes, yet refuses to show his Income Tax Returns, so we will never know. Coming soon Part 3 find out about the on going FBI Investagation.
