I AM SOOO EXCITED. I KNOW THIS IS LONG, BUT PLEASE READ!!!

PTL and all glory is His on earth and in heaven!!!!! Hello all!!! Such amazing truths being written and spoken about here.. thank you ALL!! Welcome to Barney and THANK YOU Cynthia for having the wisdom to pray for a man to stand in the place of Ray!! I didn't even think of that. You are SOOO amazing!! It is sooo good to hear Barney and his wisdom!!

Thank you sooo much Marilyn.. isn't that amazing??? That the Pastor taught the same thing. It proves we ARE His children who sit at His table doesn’t it? He is sooo faithful. And I am also going to show you further truth that He is leading us by a letter I received today in the “snail” mail. YES-- we SHALL speak life and light to these situations that in the natural appear so bleak.

I wanted to share a letter from a friends of mine that live in Florida that I haven't spoken to in months. They were on my intercessory team at church then they moved to Florida & we speak now and then for praise reports and prayer & I know I am in their prayers and they in mine!! BUT.. In any case, they sent me a letter, hand written through snail mail because they don't use a computer too much, but she and her husband serve the Lord like few do!!! They are a WONDERFUL couple and they are prayer warriors. WELL.. They know NOTHING about this group here with Newt or that I have been praying specifically for what they are requesting.  GOD HEARS US! He is honoring our prayers.HE IS CALLING others to prayer!! Please... let me share with you her letter. I will condense it as it is long but a fire will burn inside you when you read it!!!

Title of her letter: A LETTER OF GREAT URGENCY: “As you well know, our nation is in a very critical time and season. It seems to me as if we are teetering on the edge of a gigantic cliff & the choices that we -- GOD'S PEOPLE--make in the next 9 months will either pull us back to a place where we can "steady ourselves", face reality in light of God's Word, regroup and reset the rudder of America's ship... or we can continue in the path we are on right now -- God forbid & wake up one day realizing that everything about life in America, the America that we have loved and taken for granted, is either gone or on the way out! And as much as I'd prefer to "blame" a radical segment of our population, many of whom appear to me to have lost their minds as they call right wrong and wrong right -- as they march blindly ahead, ignoring impending signs of devastation in a way which does nothing short of boggle the mind!!

I am reminded that God does not hold "the world" responsible for ultimate correction. Rather, it is we, God's people who KNOW the Lord and His Word, whom He holds responsible because it is we who truly have the power to change the state of our nation through prayer and intercession. And if we do nothing-if we do not take the time to come boldly before the throne of grace to obtain mercy in this time of great need-if we don't exercise our God-given authority, taking dominion (Ps. 8:6) in the spirit realm over powers & principalities....... .....

If we, the church do not repent of our sins, the chief of which may well be complacency & neglect, then quite simply, the job won't get done and the problem won't be solved. The fact is that once we have heard the truth, we are then accountable for what we do with that truth..... And Marita.. This is the time for ACTION -- ' the kingdom of God suffers violence & the violent take it by force!’ Matt. 11:12.

The NIV says it like this: the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing and forceful men lay hold of it!!

I believe that the Lord impressed upon my heart that on every Tuesday between now (March) & the election in Nov, to FAST SOMETHING -- food, TV.. During that time to pray for the nation. Although the Lord impressed me to do this, I couldn't help but think that if many others joined me in this mission of sorts, "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (woman) avails much" James 5:16 -- and realizing that the prayer of agreement as stated in Matt. 18:19 would multiply the power and effect of this effort as we join together.

Please know that this is NOT to become a "religious exercise" & if you should choose to join me, you're NOT to be condemned or to feel guilty if you forget etc. on one or more of the Tues..... This is NOT meant to IMPOSE a burden, but is for the purpose of BEARING the burden for our beloved America & to carry it “full term” so to speak-to the end that we may experience the fruit of our “labor” with the joy & GREAT RELIEF of "delivering" TO our nation, a new leader- a person of God's choosing."

I was SOOO blessed God directed her to me in this way and I of course called her straight away and told her about Newt.... PTL.. So with HER prayer group in Florida... with mine at church and with us HERE—we will boldly approach that Throne of Grace!!!! 

And isn’t it WONDERFUL to know that God is also calling others like this?? We are NOT the only ones, like in Elijah!! And who knows how many others?  We are on the RIGHT track—lets stay on track and lets speak life to this situation & BELIEVE with ALL OUR HEARTS what the Word says!! Not waver!! I only wish Newt and Callista KNEW that God is calling others that haven’t even heard of this site!!  She also included her prayer that she got approval from her Pastor and I will post tomorrow, I always feel bad that my posts are sooo darn long!!  I LOVE YOU GUYS.. there is LIGHT and TRUTH and Our Precious Father, our Bridegroom King.. Our Powerful Comforting Holy Spirit.. HEAR US and they are moving upon the “waters” of this nation!!!   I AM REJOICING!!!!

Thank you, I agree in Jesus Name!, with your prayer!

Father, we ask that you would by the blood of Jesus break the power of every negative word, every negative agreement all unholy prayers thought, spoken, & written against Newt & all of his team.God we have no idea how you will do it but we look to you & trust you, because your Word says;

Father, we look to you speak to the people So that they might be able to see & hate--- the spin, the lies, & the deception as you do! And because of your word I forgive those behind the the negative deceptive attack ads and distorted commentaries and articles. Father, the troops are discouraged and things don't look good for Newt. Volunteers have lost heart and call volumes are down. Finances are not what they need to be. What do You want us to do?

We know that with You all things are possible. If Newt and You are in agreement, we know You will provide what is needed for Newt. Lead Newt, Callista, their team, their allies, the volunteers, and the intercessors in the right path to take.

Please provide a way for the truth about Newt to get to the voters so they can make an informed decision. Bring light into the dark places and reveal the truth about each candidate to the voters. Help them work their way through the media spin and the negative deceptive attack ads and distorted commentaries and articles. You are the God of all truth and You love truth. Turn the hearts of the people to seek the truth and love the truth. Provide Newt with the resources and strategies to effectively present the truth to the voters before the primaries. We are confident that if the truth were revealed to the voters before they vote, Newt would win. We ask these things in Jesus' Name. Amen.

    43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Cynthia, How can we love our enemies if we don't forgive them. Forgiveness is not excusing behavior it is in part recognizing that Jesus died for all of us. The enemy still has to go to God themselves & accept Jesus,  &  His sacrifice, they still have to receive God's forgiveness! (The role of our forgiveness is powerful to lose others, one might say as a form of spiritual warfare--- that is what some are confused about or do not accept. )    

The scripture below is specifically about brothers & sisters, but I have often seen believers tormented I have counseled because of their  unforgiveness  toward unbelievers.


Matt. 18:21-35

21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

 22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.[g]

   23 “Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold[h] was brought to him. 25 Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

Anne,   Commentaries reflect what ever point of view the writer of the commentary has taken up--- therefore one can find a commentary to back up many different steams of thought. I met a professor when I was in college that did not believe in the virgin birth. He had poured his life into teaching Greek and scholarly writing. I could not except his work because there was no faith with it.  

With your faith & prayer what do you get by the Holy Spirit out of John 20 :23?         I am not saying that there is not much to learn form scholars. But we must be very careful that the scholar agrees with the Lord.

Marilyn, here is the answer to your question about John 20:23 It is from a commentary on net.bible.org 

The Great Commission not only requires supernatural power to carry it out (v. 22), but it also involves the forgiveness of sins (cf. Jer. 31:31-34; Matt. 26:28). In the similar passages inMatthew 16:19 and 18:18, the context is church discipline. Here the context is evangelism.

The second part of each conditional clause in this verse is in the passive voice and the perfect tense in the Greek text. The passive voice indicates that someone has already done the forgiving or retaining. That person must be God since He alone has the authority to do that (Matt. 9:2-3; Mark 2:7; Luke 5:21). The perfect tense indicates that the action has continuing effects; the sins stand forgiven or retained at least temporarily if not permanently.

Jesus appears to have been saying that when His disciples went to others with the message of salvation, as He had done, some people would believe and others would not. Reaction to their ministry would be the same as reaction to His had been. He viewed their forgiving and retaining the sins of their hearers as the actions of God’s agents. If people (“any” or “anyone,” plural Gr. tinon) believed the gospel, the disciples could tell the believers that God had forgiven their sins. If they disbelieved, they could tell them that God had not forgiven but retained their sins. Jesus had done this (cf. 9:39-41), and now His disciples would continue to do it. Thus their ministry would be a continuation of His ministry relative to the forgiveness of sins, as it would be in relation to the Spirit’s enablement. This, too, applies to all succeeding generations of Jesus’ disciples since Jesus was still talking about the disciples’ mission.

“. . . all who proclaim the gospel are in effect forgiving or not forgiving sins, depending on whether the hearer accepts or rejects the Lord Jesus as the Sin-Bearer.”[645]

This resurrection appearance has threefold importance in John’s Gospel. It validated again Jesus’ bodily resurrection, and it provided the setting for the commissioning of Jesus’ disciples. It also provided the background for Jesus’ appearance when Thomas was present and Thomas’ climactic statement of faith that followed (vv. 24-29). I hope that helps. I think your question goes to the heart of what I shared.  For Israel, it meant their whole nation. Everyone in Israel had a covenant realtionship with God and it was incumbent on them all to repent.  For us, it means that group within the nation that has a covenant relationship with God (Ge. 18:32).  Those who have no covenand with God have no inclination to repent at all, or even to pray.  We are the only ones who have a real vote, the only real citizens (Phil. 3:20).  We represent a huge number of disenfranchised and helpless people who cannot pray for themselves.  We are like the citizenry of Rome; we have a vote and others do not -- we represent them before God because they cannot.  You have the authority to repent for this group to which you and they both belong.  They cannot and will not -- you can.

Dearest brothers and sisters, I am so blessed by all your words.  I continue to thank God for the people here and for your prayers which I continually pray in agreement...amen and amen!!  Thank you to all of you for the part you play in edifying and uplifting me in my faith daily...I join in agreement with the spirit and tenor of you all in placing our confidence in Christ and Him crucified...and not in politics or what mere man may do.  Remember that as bad as circumstances in our country appear to be getting, we who know Jesus as our Lord and Savior know that it is necessary as part of His ultimate plans...John Hagee is preaching a wonderful series on 2012 on his website and television program...directing us to lift our heads up when we see these events unfolding, for our redemption is nigh.  I want to encourage each of you, when you feel like you are losing heart, to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in the heavenly places.  Put on the full armor of God as outlined in Ephesians 6, and allow the Lord to lead you to Revelation 21...where you will be reminded of the wonderful future that we as believers have, and focus not on the things of this world but on things eternal (2 Corinthians 4:16-18) and the realization that good ultimately triumphs over evil!  Pray for our enemies to come to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, for the time is short....God bless each of you and may you res well in His love and care tonight.
