Father,

We ask You to extend Your mercy to this nation. Touch all those who call on Your Name that we may wholeheartedly turn to You in truth and forsake our lukewarm and idolatrous ways. Revive and restore us. Turn our hearts to You. Help us to fulfill Your conditions in 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Lord, please touch the governments and people of Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky with Your grace. Give them hearts to seek You and submit to Your will with joyful reverence. Give the people wisdom and discernment to pick godly leaders for all positions in the upcoming elections. Help the governors and representatives in the state houses and senates to be students of Scripture and to know that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Help those who are judges to make righteous decisions and to respect the laws of the states and the Federal goverrnent, and especially the Your laws. Bring Your influence to bear in every center that influences our culture: law and government, education, entertainment and media, business, religion, and family life. Help the people of Alabama to remember Governor Wallace's courage in resisting federal authority and not make his mistakes in resisting equal rights for ALL Americans. Help the people of Kentucky and Tennessee to remember the courage and fairness of Daniel Boone and follow in his footsteps.

Touch the pastors to have the boldness to step out and boldly contront the culture with the claims of Christ in the political arena and public square. Touch the church members to be people of resolve to be steadfast in prayer and in the study and application of your Word, to be bold and effective in evangelism, and to be outstanding citizens who are good family members and excellent partiots. Prepare Your people and pour them out in the public arena to be salt and light. We ask these things in Jesus' Name. May You alone receive the glory.

Thanks for your kind words of affirmation. I think the Lord wants you and your husband to know that He has an eye on your situation and He is not going to abandon you. Keep seeking Him and believe He will meet your needs.

Thank you for your continued prayers (and posted information)  for our more silent intercessors, John.  It means so much to those of us who are struggling,  and thank you as well for the information concerning Convention Prayer Coverage. I know I will join you, others here, in Tampa and the millions around the nation in covering these conventions and other prayer needs.

Intercessors Building House of Prayer Over Political Conventions 1:11PM EDT 7/10/2012 Jennifer LeClaire With just about six weeks until the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., prayer warriors are issuing a clarion call for 1 million people to join in intercession for the nation.

A group called Conventions Prayer Coverage aims to build what it calls a “house of prayer” over Tampa during the four days of the Republication National Convention Aug. 27-30 and over Charlotte, N.C., during the four days of the Democratic National Convention Sept. 3-6.

“Our nation is at a precipice. Political parties are divided. There is division in the church. There is division in families,” says Camille McWhirter, chairman of Conventions Prayer Coverage and founder of Pray Tampa Bay. “Hope for our nation is not in any one person or party but in our Creator and Redeemer alone, so we offer our prayers to Him.”

McWhirter says God called her to this mission after a period of praying for Tampa and the United States. When she found out that the Republican National Convention was going to be in Tampa, she says God called her to bring people together in non-partisan, non-political prayer during the convention.

About 100,000 local, state and national leaders, along with media and tourists, will gather in Tampa and Charlotte for the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.

“We have this great promise and call for action found in the Bible: ‘If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land …’” McWhirter says. “The Lord is faithful to do great things for our nation if we simply turn to Him in the name of Jesus for the healing of our land.”

It's time for Christians and patriotic Americans who realize the high cost our republic has paid for tolerating or embracing Hollywood anti-Christian anti-family values to cut off Hollywood and the media who spreads this poison. It is foolish to continue to support a segment of society that consistently vilifies your values and has no regard for the laws of nature or nature's God.

Turn off the TV and join the Second American Revolution to restore our republic and the values that made America great!

Thanks for the excellent posts, Bob! Keep up the good work! We are engaged in a multifaceted battle which is primarily spiritual and moral with political and cultural manifestations. I think one of the main problems is the mainstream media and other media outlets which have been so infected by the Soros/Hollywood/Socialist/Marxist Axis that they are no longer reliable to use as a source of objective news or decent entertainment. Alternative media needs to be developed and propigated which is being done by people such as Sam Samford, Mark Prasik, and Charoltte Diveny who have all joined this Web site. I believe TENS OF MILLIONS of Americans need to forsake these media outlets and join in a spiritual and cultural revolution to take back this country.

I believe the main battlefield for most of the Intercessors for Newt is the invisible battlefield of the spiritual realm. I believe the invisible controls the visible. For a simple illustration, we can see that invisible thoughts control words and behavior as do invisible beliefs which are formed through thoughts. Spiritual forces such as satan, the demons, angels, and God focus on the mind in order to control the person through their thoughts and beliefs. Satan uses lies and deception to spin his webs. God uses truth. We must fill our minds with the truths from the Holy Bible and apply them under the power and direction of the Holy Spirit to walk in the victory God has for us. This victory is to advance His kingdom and it may not mean the preservation of the United States as a republic and bastion of freedom. I hope it does and am fighting to that end but ultimately I seek to follow the Lord.

We intercessors also engage in other battlefields and are not the "pie in the sky by and by" type of Christian.

Amen to your faithful prayers that are right on target, Marilyn and Tess! And Amen to Charlotte's earlier contributions. May she add to them as the Lord leads.

I am reminded of what Jonathan said before attacking a Philistine outpost with armor bearer in 1 Samuel 14:6: "Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, "Come, let's go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised fellows. perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few."  Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV), "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." So we three must stand together. May others join us at the Lord leads.

Abba, Father, we ask Your richest blessings on the Intercessors for Newt wherever they are and whatever they are doing. We thank You for bringing us together. We ask You to stir their hearts to continue to intercede for our nation according to Your divine purposes. Protect them and provide for them. Protect their health, their relationships, their finances, and most importantly, their relationships with you. Provide jobs, finances, and wisdom. Guide and direct each one as an arrow guided by Your eye and released from Your hand. May each one hit Your target.

Father, We ask You to stir up Your children and their leaders in the states of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Stir up the patriotism in Virginia and help Virginians to remember the zeal of their ancestors in fighting for freedom and providing leadership to the country in its early days. Heal our land from any remaining scars caused through slavery in these states. Touch those Americans that were descendants of slaves to take the lessons their descendants learned about praising and trusting You in all circumstances and apply these lessons to our current times. Help them to draw on the strength You provided to their ancestors and let them know that You alone are the source of that strength. Touch those who are descendants of American Indian tribes from these states and help them to see that Jesus Christ is the incarnation of the Great Spirit and Father God wants to father them, heal their hearts, and use them to bring healing to their land. Touch those who are desendants from plantation owners and colonial business owners and give them an entrepreneural spirit to continue to find creative ways to provide jobs and manufacture goods to be sold here and abroad. Touch them to treat all employees kindly and as equals before God.

Move among the pastors and chruch leaders to take a stand and speak out for truth and demonstrate love to their communities and cities that originates in their learts and is seen clearly in their families. Let Your fire fall on these states in the east coast and let it spread north and west across our land. Create a hunger and thirst for righteousness that will not be satisfied with anything or anyone less than Jesus Himself. He is the Bread of Heaven that will satisy our hunger and the blood of Jesus will quench our thirst. Let the Word of God the chief poriton of Your children, especially in these states, and may they threasure it more than their necessary food. Bring a strong revival that begins, continues, and ends with You being front and center. Push back the darkness and rebuke the devourer.

Remember Your people Israel and guide them during these turbulent times. Touch the Arabs in the Middle East and draw them to You, the God of their ancestor Abraham. Let the supernatural love of Jesus Christ unite Jews and Arabs together and let them be a testimony for You, the Source of lasting peace in the Middle East. We ask You do do abundantly more than we can ask or imagine. In Jesus' Name. Amen!

 Father God, The media is filled with deception, I call out to you Lord  God bring down the lies the endless deception. As I pray for Maryland, Virginia, and DC, I call out to you bring conviction on the hearts of all the government workers that know the truth and have been afraid to speak out. Lay heavily upon them to come forward with the truth. Give them strength and wisdom in how to reveal what they know. Protect them and give them courage to bring everything to light. Let Your accountability be complete. Dismantle all deception. Shine your piercing light into all deception and dismantle it for all to see. Those that sleep that tell themselves that they don't care, wake up! Show all those in the nation that the freedom that they have taken for granted is being stolen from them as they sleep! Pour out your mercy upon us. Only because of Your Son's great sacrifice on the cross have mercy on us, and bring every evil thing into the light. Cause all to see and reject evil and turn to You with their whole hearts and know Jesus Christ as Lord, Who has been given all power in heaven and in earth! Cause all the states Maine all the way through North Carolina to known the awesome respect of the Lord that the might have wisdom for the November election and wisdom for every aspect of their lives. Let revival come in each individuals heart.
