John -- Great to know that last year's record of attendance was broken, and that sadly "blue" New Jersey was represented by Chris Smith (one of very few bona fide conservatives left in my state).
Thanks for sharing this article.
Comment by John T. Leach on January 26, 2013 at 10:21am Shawn, and Marianne,
Thank you both for your steadfast support and perseverance in this long war to turn the country and the culture around. There is good news on another front. Here's a link to an article about yesterday's pro-life march in D.C. Enjoy!http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jan/25/40-years-later-abor...

Comment by John T. Leach on January 23, 2013 at 10:05am A letter to Speaker John Boehner today:
Please stand with conservative Congressmen and do not give in to the bullying of the Obama-aligned media and the Obama agenda which is destructive to our nation. Hyperinflation from sustained runaway spending is not a theory. Please insist on a serious plan of budgetary cuts before considering raising the debt ceiling.
The Obama/Reid pattern of pushing conservative Republicans to abandon their fiscally conservative principles must be unequivocally rejected. A serious budget that shrinks the size of the Federal government needs to be a prenegotiating point before the debt ceiling is considered. Thank you for your help in working to restore fiscal sanity to Washington, D.C.
My prayer is that you will have a backbone of steel, great courage, and great wisdom to stand for the best interests of the United States and continue to propose better solutions than those being currently offered by our President.
Best Regards, John Leach
Comment by John T. Leach on January 19, 2013 at 10:54am Here's a great column from Townhall.com that was posted today. It was Winston Churchill's 40 Greatest Quotes. It is well worth reading and passing on to others. Many things he said would apply to today in our nation. Here's the link: http://townhall.com/columnists/johnhawkins/2013/01/19/the-40-greate...
Comment by John T. Leach on January 17, 2013 at 9:54pm Here's a good petition to sign to help protect our Constitutional rights through Liberty Counsel. The Founder, Mat Staver, and his wife, Anita (President) are true patriots and has been in the battle for protecting our Constitution for many years.
Making a donation is optional and there is never pressure to do so although appeals are made explaining why the donation is solicited. This is one of my favorite organizations to support. Here's the link to the petition. Please feel free to pass it on. http://www.libertyaction.org/374/petition.asp?Ref_ID=19083&CID=...
Thanks and be blessed!

Comment by John T. Leach on January 17, 2013 at 4:58pm We don't hear the full words of the 2nd Amendment quoted often or only part of the Amendment is discussed. Here's the full text: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
According to The Federalist Papers #29 by Alexander Hamilton, there was concern for a Federal government becoming dictatorial to the states but it had to be balanced by the Federal government need to have armies to defend the nation against foreign forces or sedition. Standing armies were forbidden (they didn't want a Federal dictator to take the place of King George) so the Nation had to rely on "a well regulated Militia" to protect itself from sedition or foreign forces. However, to alleviate concerns of some of the states and citizens, the officers of the Militia were to be appointed by their respective states and accountable to them. This would hinder the Militia from turning against the states or its citizens as the officers would be loyal to the states and those under the officers would obey the officers in charge. However, the Militia could be trained by the Federal government so that they would be "well regulated."
The citizens were assumed to also have arms and know how to use them so that there would be a pool of ready citizens to call up in times of war to help defend the nation. The citizens could have arms to defend themselves as needed, including from federal tyranny, but also to be able to better defend the nation in times of war. The Militia would typically undergo training exercises twice a year and the rest of the time they were released to take care of their families through their usual non-military employment.
It was observed that the Articles of Confederation allowed for a Federal military but lacked the teeth to create and sustain one. A stronger federal government with access to military power to support its decisions was seen as necessary. More military power wasn’t provided by the new Constitution but the means to make it a reality was.
According to The Federalist Papers # 45 by James Madison, the role of the Federal government was much smaller and focused on the enumerated powers codified in the Constitution (national defense, foreign affairs, some interstate commerce, etc,) They did not meddle into the business of the states and people such as health, welfare, education, crime control, etc.
Decisions under President George W. Bush expanded the Federal role as did decisons under many of the previous Presidents since our nation's inception. Under President Obama the Federal role of the Executive Branch has grown in leaps and bounds and shows no Constitutional restraint. Our Federal government has become a cancerous leviathan and is multiplying too rapidly and will continue to eat up and nationalize state and local governments' rights and the rights of the people unless a proper antidote is soon given. Expansion MUST stop and shrinking back to Constitutional enumerated powers must be part of the solution or the Republic will die.
It is incumbent upon our elected Representatives to take their oaths seriously to reign in the Federal leviathan and especially the empirical President. Impeachment proceedings are in order to educate the citizens of what has been happening and of the dangers we face.
Comment by John T. Leach on November 15, 2012 at 7:32am MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD ISSUES
Voter fraud issues need to be addressed and examined in all of the swing states but especially those who don't have pictoral voter IDs. This may be the prime reason why Obama won. The election may be illegitimate and the American people cannot afford to lose the integrity of the vote or they will lose the democratic process and their republic.

Here is an article by Heather Ginsberg, Townhall.com blogger:
On Tuesday only one precinct had less than 113% turnout. “The Unofficial vote count is 175,554 registered voters 247,713 vote cards cast (141.10% ). The National SEAL Museum, a St. Lucie county polling place, had 158.85% voter turn out, the highest in the county.”
The Supervisor of Elections, Gertrude Walker, had this to say concerning the 141% voter turnout: “They may have had something like that in Palm Beach County, but we’ve never seen that here.”
So maybe Allen West wasn’t crazy to ask for a lock-down on the ballot boxes and machines in this county. According to the report given the day after elections, Allen B. West garnered 52,625 votes in St.Lucie county and Patrick Murphy 65,896 votes.
This is a problem that must be addressed right away. There is no reason that there should ever be more than 100% turnout. This county alone could have cost Allen West his election. Voter fraud is real, and it is time that this be solved.
