Correctional Officers Association of Delaware President Geoff Klopp Endorses Newt Gingrich
Dover, DE – Correctional Officers Association of Delaware (COAD) President Geoff Klopp endorsed Newt Gingrich for president during a joint appearance at the group’s meeting this morning.
“It was refreshing to have Newt appear before COAD and hear the concerns of Delaware’s working families,” said Geoff Klopp. “He is the only Republican presidential candidate who has taken the time to listen to our union members and he has earned my vote. I’m proud to endorse Newt Gingrich in the Republican Primary and I encourage every hard-working union member in our state to join me in voting for him next Tuesday.”
“I was delighted to receive Geoff’s endorsement and for the opportunity to talk with COAD’s union members and hear their concerns,” Newt Gingrich. “I’m committed to meeting with citizens from every background in Delaware and across the country to develop a solutions-oriented agenda that get us back to a full employment economy, an affordable price of gasoline, and a limited government that moves power out of Washington and back to the states.”
Gingrich campaigned in Delaware yesterday and today in advance of the state's April 24th primary.

Comment by Tony Norris on April 19, 2012 at 7:01am In case the worst happens, and Romney wins the nomination, we need to have all our friends send no money to the RNC but directly to the conservatives running in the house and senate races. we must have a conservative congress if the presidential choices will be dumb and dumber. At least Romney will not get in the way of a congress that is trying to restore the constitution

Just called the RNC to request removal from the mailing list. If you want to do the same, here is the number:
202.863.8500
When they asked why, I said the GOP has gone too far in pushing Romney on us and the conservative base has had enough, especially now with this meeting Friday between Romney and state Chairs for "victory lap" when, in fact, this primary is far from over:

Will be updating this thread in a little bit with more ways to send THE RNC a STRONG MESSAGE that we are NOT standing for this.
Newt Gingrich Comments on Rick Santorum Suspending Campaign
New Bern, NC - Newt Gingrich released the following statement reacting to Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum suspending his campaign:
“Rick has waged a remarkable campaign. His success is a testament to his tenacity and the power of conservative principles.
“I am committed to staying in this race all the way to Tampa so that the conservative movement has a real choice. I humbly ask Senator Santorum’s supporters to visit Newt.org to review my conservative record and join us as we bring these values to Tampa.
