Gingrich Releases Video Supporting North Carolina Marriage Amendment

Charlotte, NC – Newt Gingrich released a video today in support of Amendment One, a ballot measure which would “provide that marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union” valid in North Carolina.   The video can be viewed here: http://youtu.be/YQHxIWZP3bE 

 

Gingrich says:

Marriage between a man and a woman is at the heart of our civilization. It's a belief that is now under attack, yet it's at the very core of defining who we are. That's why I urge you to vote for the initiative right here in North Carolina. The chance to vote for a referendum to declare clearly that marriage is between a man and a woman.This is part of the same great process this year that's involved with President Obama, and that's involved with the whole danger of what's happening to our basic beliefs. There's an effort by radicals at every level to change who we are, to change what America is and to change for our children into a future that I think will be much worse.This is your chance to turn out and vote and vote for preserving America, and to vote for preserving a very basic institution.

When they asked why, I said the GOP has gone too far in pushing Romney on us and the conservative base has had enough, especially now with this meeting Friday between Romney and state Chairs for "victory lap" when, in fact, this primary is far from over:

Hi all... CNN did an IReport video (link below)....on Newt.  We have a CNN reporter that is a Newt supporter.. :)   the more activity on the video and comments left.... the more attention CNN will give to Newt with this type coverage... on TV if level of activity shows worthy.  Please go to link and log in and leave comment.  Thanks all.... Here is a phone script I have found helpful to sway voters to Newt. Please feel free to use it, modify it, and pass it on to others if you think it will help Newt. File attachment doesn't seem to be working so I just cut and pasted.

Phone Script to Win over Voters for Newt

If they say they are going to vote tomorrow, ask them this question:

• If you were convinced Newt was      the best candidate and could win the nomination and election with your      help, would it make a difference to you?

If their answer is “Yes”, go to the next two points. Otherwise, finish survey.

1. Newt’s plan is to win a brokered convention by winning the war on issues against President Obama and he is doing just that! He is only 33 bound delegates behind Santorum whose Super-PAC projects a brokered convention at the current rate of winning bound delegates.

 

2. Reagan was behind in the polls at this point too!

Ask them if you can give them more information; Yes - read #4. No – finish survey.

4. Speaker Gingrich is the stalwart social and fiscal conservative best equipped to preserve the Reagan legacy and protect America from the dangers of secular socialism and radical Islam. 5. Mitt Romney has the ObamneyCare albatross around his neck and people wonder where he will stand on the issues. He can only win the liberal states likely to be won by Obama unless he outspends his opponents 10 or 20 to 1. His strategy uses negative dishonest ads that suppress voter turnout and alienate conservative Republicans and won’t work against Obama who will be better funded.

6. I like Rick Santorum personally as a social conservative but he has a mixed record on economic issues and had one of the biggest spending agendas in his last two years in Congress. With his record of strong Union support and earmarks, he will have a hard time winning over voters on the economic issues that decide elections.

NATIONAL BOYCOTT OF FOX NEWS

 

We are calling for a National Boycott of Fox News starting with March 6^th Super Tuesday Primary coverage.  Newt’s supporters should watch CNN to impair Fox ratings as a payback for helping the RINO GOP Establishment pick our Candidate!

 

Fox News has shown flagrant disrespect for Newt’s supporters via base tactics used to promote Romney while negatively portraying Newt Gingrich.  In many instances, Fox repeated and kept alive falsehoods and distortions of Newt’s record spread in Romney’s attack ads. 

 

Fox coverage of Newt Gingrich has not been “Fair and Balanced.”  Fox has perpetuated the GOP Establishment’s grand illusion that “only Romney is electable; only Romney can defeat Obama.”  Most panelists and pundits on various programs have promoted Romney while mocking and excoriating Newt.  This nonstop bias has helped destroy Newt’s soaring lead early in the campaign and continues to prevent a rapid rise…

 

There has been a strong imbalance while interviewing Candidates.  Romney receives “soft balls” while Newt is menaced with questions designed to unfairly depict his capability and remarkable achievements.  With the exception of Greta Van Susteren, all Fox Journalists have behaved disgracefully.  The last straw was Huckabee’s Forum III – the deck was stacked against Newt and Romney was again handled with kid gloves…

 

We need to show the manipulators at Fox that Newt Gingrich supporters will not tolerate attempts to hide the Truth about Mitt Romney any longer.  We must take down Fox ratings, particularly on Super Tuesday!  Let’s deliver FOX the same harsh treatment they provided to Newt!  Perhaps Fox will get the message that Newt’s supporters do indeed have a voice.   Please watch election coverage on CNN.
